Designers
Elliot Strebel
Elliot is a Swiss designer. His designs are a reflection of his rich cultural background, which challenges our perception of what is considered beautiful. In his work, he deals with topics like gender equality, overconsumption, sustainability and the transience of life. He designs and creates inspiring, contemporary jewelry for both men and women, creating his signature androgynous style. He diversifies his approach with digital tools and materials, exploring and pushing the capabilities of bespoke software tools and 3D printing to materialise complex forms. Combined with meticulous hand finishing techniques, such as cutting, polishing and construction, the pieces are both sophisticated and futuristic.
Cristoforo Hu
With his Chinese background, Cris has inherited the crafts and skill from his family over 20 years, and has accumulated a wealth of experience and expertise in his field. He has departed from creating solely decorative ornaments that exist as social markers, into a new artform not restricted to specific techniques, materials, subjects or aesthetics. His design is inspired by ancient Chinese history and art, weaving ambiguous and thought-provoking messages with his heritage. Cris makes his jewellery open up dialogue between the wearer and its audience. His artistic endeavour contains many layers and urge us to reflect upon and question our own system of belief of what is considered precious and beautiful.
Miranda Cooper
With her English background, Miranda has reinvigorated some of the antique jewellery-making techniques she had discovered during her time in the auction business. She wanted to revitalise olden jewellery, maintaining the features of their origins, while staying relevant and wearable for women today. The whole idea of creating contemporary yet timeless pieces, designed to be passed down through generations, is at the very core of what she does. Melding antique inspirations with contemporary style, this unique aesthetic stems from Miranda’s childhood in Oxford, surrounded by art, antiquities and objects collected by her mother, as well as trips frequenting modern art galleries. Miranda’s playful, original designs are brought to life by master craftspeople in our workshop. We champion exceptional hand-craftsmanship, using traditional goldsmithing techniques to create beautiful, unique and modern treasures that become a beloved part of our clients’ jewellery case.
